  1. Great survey, Chris! Thanks for setting this up. I will be very interested in the results. I had a problem answering 2 questions because what I read is not determined by format, but rather by whatever way I can get my hands on the books I want to read. So, for #4, I answered “less than half the time” for hardcover, paper and eBook, meaning that my reading is divided equally among the three. And I didn’t answer #5 at all, because as I said above, I will read in whatever format I can get the book. This also includes borrowing a hefty number of eBooks from the library (always ePub). I’ll share this post to spread the word.

    • Thank you. It’s turned out to be quite challenging to think of all the possible answers that may be helpful (which also makes the survey longer). Thank you for using the comments to clarify. The comments section is the one feature flexible enough for the survey.πŸ™‚

  2. I’m interested to see how the updated questions’ results turn out… and, despite my derpiness of not thinking of just ignoring the kids question last time around, thanks for adding a “I don’t have kids” option.πŸ˜„

  3. Interesting survey. I have presently decided I have an interesting in self-publishing so I think this survey will be a very fruitful source of information. I only read hard cover because screens give me headaches, and the smell of paperbacks make me ill.

  4. Regarding #6 — Where do you buy ebooks? I didn’t respond to that one because I buy my ebooks at Smashwords, which was not listed. No “Other source” choice either. Otherwise, an interesting survey.

  5. Hi Chris,
Shared with all of my social networks requesting people to provide answers to the survey questions. Hope that helps! Twitter, Facebook, Tumbler, Stumble Upon, LinkedIn and Google + Public as well as circles and extended circles.πŸ™‚
